Discover Our Wines

The Wine

Our wines are hand crafted on site at our winery in beautiful downtown Evergreen, CO from 100% Colorado grapes, grown in the majestic Grand Valley AVA, on the Western slope of Colorado.

Red Wine

Rosso $9 glass / $30 bottle
This red Rhone blend is comprised of 45% Mourvedre, 45% Cinsault, 5% Counoise and 5% Syrah. The wine is light bodied yet complex. Bright fruit and acidity with soft tannin structure make this a very food friendly wine. Juicy berry fruit, smoke and pepper best describe this Rosso.

2021 Granache $10 glass / $32 bottle
This Granache is fruit forward and intense with plush berries, such as black cherry, raspberry and strawberry. Herbal notes and spices also prevail, with hints of cinnamon, anise and orange rind. This wine is medium bodied, boasts balance tannins with medium acidity, and pairs well with Spanish cheeses, roasted meats, and root vegetables simmered in Asian spices.

2016 Syrah $10 glass / $32 bottle
Grown at The Vinelands, Creekside’s vineyard in Palisade, Colorado, our Syrah’s deep, dark color foreshadows its velvety sensuality on the palate. Expect notes of blackberry, plum and olive, with black pepper lingering on the finish. Aged for 15 months in new French oak, our Syrah pairs nicely with pheasant, quail and pork tenderloin.

2020 Petite Sirah $12 glass / $40 bottle
One enchanting evening in the 1880s, highly esteemed Syrah and lesser known Peloursin were introduced. One thing led to another, and after a wild night in the vineyard, Petite Sirah emerged. This deep, dark, voluptuous and chewy wine is bursting with lush flavors that stand up to rich foods such as barbequed pork and beef, game meats and creamy sauces. The nose erupts with aromas of cherry pie, cinnamon, clove, delicious baking spices and hints of dark chocolate. The luxurious mouthfeel and bountiful tannins give way to intense flavors of Empress plum, smokey black fruit and underlying tones of black licorice. Enjoy this beauty now or lay it down and allow it to evolve in the bottle for years to come.

2018 Malbec $11 glass / $35 bottle
Creekside’s 2018 Malbec reigns from Palisade, CO, located on a high desert plain, similar in climate to Mendoza, Argentina, where Malbec rose to prominence. This vintage is a welcome addition to our arsenal of fine wines. Aged thirty months in Appalachian oak, the nose is bursting with black stone fruit, baking spices, vanilla and a touch of toast. On the palate you will find black cherry, black plum, hints of soft cocoa and a mouthwatering acidity. The body is medium plus, the tannins are firm yet supple, and the finish is long. Pair this wine with sirloin steak, grilled lamb chops, grilled portobello mushrooms and rich blue cheese.

2016 Merlot $11 glass / $35 bottle
This Merlot is bursting with black fruit. On the nose look for black cherry, plum, cassis, toffee and a hint of forest floor. Blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry, toasty oak, black tea, accompanied by medium tannins and acidity best describe the palate.

2018 Cabernet Sauvignon $12 glass / $37 bottle
This 2017 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon could be our best yet! The terroir of the vineyard shines through in this vintage. Black currant, cedar, minerality, medium tannins and acidity all contribute to the balance of the wine as well as the impact of the new Seguin Moreau American oak barrels.

2019 Cabernet Franc $14 glass / $45 bottle
Our vineyard, The Vinelands, consistently produces noteworthy Cabernet Franc and the 2018 vintage is no exception. This Cabernet Franc was aged 36 months in Appalachian oak barrels, imparting intense, complex flavors. The nose reveals black cherry, blackberry, clove, anise and hints of rosemary. On the palate expect rich stone fruit, raspberry, toasted pecans, caramel and cinnamon followed by a long, elegant and spicy finish. As the wine ages look for classic Cabernet Franc characteristics of leather, tobacco and spice. This is Franc, Colorado’s Cabernet.

2016 Robusto $17 glass / $65 bottle
The 2016 vintage of Robusto is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 3% Malbec. A mouthful of berry and stone fruit, minerality, mouth-watering acidity and toasty oak will awaken your senses. Pay close attention to how the wine evolves in your glass as it opens up. This is Creekside’s 7th Robusto. Enjoy it now or be rewarded with the wonderful complexities that will develop with cellaring.

2003 Lakehaus Port $8 glass / $25 bottle (375 ml)
Rich and powerful best describe this port. Experience caramel, hazelnut, hints of vanilla, coffee and chocolate on the nose and palate. This port is made of 100% Tempranillo and will not disappoint.

White Wine

2022 Rosé $9 glass / $32 bottle
Rose all day! This blend of Grenache and Carmenere, with a touch of Syrah, is typical of a Provencal style Rose; bright fruit, dry and refreshing. The bouquet exhibits strawberry, rose petal, grapefruit and tropical notes. The mouthfeel is sumptuous and the palate expresses flavors of hibiscus, honeysuckle and bright red fruit. This delicious summer sipper pairs nicely with aromatic spices, grilled vegetables and Antipasto.

2022 Rosé of Mourvèdre $12 glass / $36 bottle
This Rosé of Mourvedrè hails from 38 ¼ Road in Palisade, CO. The nose reveals elegant floral notes of wild strawberry, with hints of rose petal and pink grapefruit. The lush palate presents delicate peppery spice, light mineral notes, white fruits and granita. This light, copper, salmon colored wine is the perfect pairing for mild fresh cheese, crunchy green salads, and summer sipping on a sunny afternoon.

2018 Viognier $9 glass / $30 bottle
We are always excited by the Viognier our vineyard produces. It is still our #1 selling wine at Creekside Cellars. The nose is packed with apricot, mango and a hint of tangerine. The mouth feel is viscous and refreshing. Look for apricot, honeydew, ripe peaches and medium acidity on the palate. It pairs well with seafood, veal, pork and Asian cuisine.

2018 Roussanne $10 glass / $32 bottle
Roussanne is a late ripening variety that produces powerful white wines. It features scents of peaches, pears, herbs and roasted nuts. On the palate expect lemon curd, peaches, and a rich, silky texture. Red wine only drinkers will enjoy this exotic, complex wine.

2021 Chardonnay $10 glass / $32 bottle
This elegant, unoaked Chardonnay is reminiscent of a French Chablis. On the nose you will find Asian pear, nectarine and a nice minerality. The palate is bright, medium to full bodied and reveals lemon curd, tart apple and a hint of fig. Pair this fantastic wine with flaky white fish and soft, mild cheeses.

2018 Riesling $8 glass / $24 bottle
The nose is floral, delicate and complex. Our Riesling is dry with bright acidity. The palate is bright and expressive, reminiscent of pears and apples with a lovely, lingering finish.

Sparkling Rosé in a can $10 can (250mL) / $30 4 Pack
This is just plain fun. Something new and different for Creekside, we’ve carbonated and canned a dry and refreshing Rosé for your enjoyment. Throw a four pack in your cooler for a picnic, day at the beach, or simply front porch sipping.

Creekside Cellars

A hobby begun in the early 1980s turned into a family business for
Bill and Anita Donahue. Anita and her Italian family cultivated the Donahues’ deep appreciation for sharing wine and food with family and friends. Creekside Cellars became a bonded Colorado limited winery in 1996. We opened our doors to the public in 2000, and in 2002 planted our own vineyard in Palisade, Colorado, called The Vinelands.
Our wines are produced in Evergreen, Colorado with 100% Colorado fruit.

More than a winery, Creekside Cellars doubles as an Mediterranean café, featuring an outdoor deck overhanging Bear Creek. Creekside is a special destination for paninis, salads, olives and fine cheeses…or to linger over one of our antipasto platters with a bottle of wine
and the company of loved ones.
