Discover Our Wines

The Wine

Our wines are hand crafted on site at our winery in beautiful downtown Evergreen, CO from 100% Colorado grapes, grown in the majestic Grand Valley AVA, on the Western slope of Colorado.

Red Wine

Rosso $9 glass / $30 bottle
This red Rhone blend is comprised of 45% Mourvedre, 45% Cinsault, 5% Counoise and 5% Syrah. The wine is light bodied yet complex. Bright fruit and acidity with soft tannin structure make this a very food friendly wine. Juicy berry fruit, smoke and pepper best describe this Rosso.

2014 Petit Verdot $10 glass / $32 bottle
Our Petit Verdot remains a favorite with our customers due to its versatility with food. Expect red cherry, raspberry, and black pepper on the nose. The palate reveals bright acidity with red cherry, clove, cola and a hint of smoke. Our Petit Verdot is an excellent alternative to dishes often paired with white wines.

2016 Syrah $10 glass / $32 bottle
Grown at The Vinelands, Creekside’s vineyard in Palisade, Colorado, our Syrah’s deep, dark color foreshadows its velvety sensuality on the palate. Expect notes of blackberry, plum and olive, with black pepper lingering on the finish. Aged for 15 months in new French oak, our Syrah pairs nicely with pheasant, quail and pork tenderloin.

2014 Petite Sirah $12 glass / $40 bottle
Petite Sirah also experienced winter cold weather damage limiting production. Both berry and stone fruit are present as well as some significant herbaceous notes. Chewy tannins, medium acidity and vibrant fruit make this a good candidate for aging. Barbeque, pot roast and beef stew would pair well.

2018 Malbec $11 glass / $35 bottle
This Malbec is more reminiscent of the Cahors, France style Malbec. It offers mouth-watering acidity with medium tannins. The mouthfeel is balanced and smooth. Look for berry fruit, hints of vanilla and baking spices. It is a favorite with our customers and is making a name for itself within the Colorado wine industry.

2016 Merlot $11 glass / $35 bottle
This Merlot is bursting with black fruit. On the nose look for black cherry, plum, cassis, toffee and a hint of forest floor. Blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry, toasty oak, black tea, accompanied by medium tannins and acidity best describe the palate.

2017 Cabernet Sauvignon $12 glass / $37 bottle
This 2017 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon could be our best yet! The terroir of the vineyard shines through in this vintage. Black currant, cedar, minerality, medium tannins and acidity all contribute to the balance of the wine as well as the impact of the new Seguin Moreau American oak barrels.

2018 Cabernet Franc $14 glass / $45 bottle
Our vineyard, The Vinelands, consistently produces noteworthy Cabernet Franc and the 2018 vintage is no exception. This Cabernet Franc was aged 36 months in Appalachian oak barrels, imparting intense, complex flavors. The nose reveals black cherry, blackberry, clove, anise and hints of rosemary. On the palate expect rich stone fruit, raspberry, toasted pecans, caramel and cinnamon followed by a long, elegant and spicy finish. As the wine ages look for classic Cabernet Franc characteristics of leather, tobacco and spice. This is Franc, Colorado’s Cabernet.

2016 Robusto $17 glass / $65 bottle
The 2016 vintage of Robusto is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 3% Malbec. A mouthful of berry and stone fruit, minerality, mouth-watering acidity and toasty oak will awaken your senses. Pay close attention to how the wine evolves in your glass as it opens up. This is Creekside’s 7th Robusto. Enjoy it now or be rewarded with the wonderful complexities that will develop with cellaring.

2003 Lakehaus Port $8 glass / $25 bottle (375 ml)
Rich and powerful best describe this port. Experience caramel, hazelnut, hints of vanilla, coffee and chocolate on the nose and palate. This port was aged over 15 years in oak barrels and won’t disappoint.

White Wine

2020 Rosé $9 glass / $32 bottle
Thank goodness Rose’ is here to brighten up our days! This Rose’ is comprised of 55% Mourvedre, 45% Cinsault. The wine is typical of a Provence style Rose’, bright fruit, dry and refreshing. Enjoy!

2017 Viognier $9 glass / $30 bottle
We are always excited by the Viognier our vineyard produces. It is still our #1 selling wine at Creekside Cellars. The nose is packed with apricot, mango and a hint of tangerine. The mouth feel is viscous and refreshing. Look for apricot, honeydew, ripe peaches and medium acidity on the palate. It pairs well with seafood, veal, pork and Asian cuisine.

2018 Roussanne $10 glass / $32 bottle
Roussanne is a late ripening variety that produces powerful white wines. It features scents of peaches, pears, herbs and roasted nuts. On the palate expect lemon curd, peaches, and a rich, silky texture. Red wine only drinkers will enjoy this exotic, complex wine.

2020 Chardonnay $10 glass / $32 bottle
This Chardonnay is reminiscent of a French Chablis. The nose reveals pineapple, kiwi and green apple with hints of minerality. The palette reveals citrus, green apple, lemon curd and hints of vanilla on the finish combined with mouth-watering acidity.

2018 Riesling $8 glass / $24 bottle
The nose is floral, delicate and complex. Our Riesling is dry with bright acidity. The palate is bright and expressive, reminiscent of pears and apples with a lovely, lingering finish

Creekside Cellars

A hobby begun in the early 1980s turned into a family business for
Bill and Anita Donahue. Anita and her Italian family cultivated the Donahues’ deep appreciation for sharing wine and food with family and friends. Creekside Cellars became a bonded Colorado limited winery in 1996. We opened our doors to the public in 2000, and in 2002 planted our own vineyard in Palisade, Colorado, called The Vinelands.
Our wines are produced in Evergreen, Colorado with 100% Colorado fruit.

More than a winery, Creekside Cellars doubles as an Mediterranean café, featuring an outdoor deck overhanging Bear Creek. Creekside is a special destination for paninis, salads, olives and fine cheeses…or to linger over one of our antipasto platters with a bottle of wine
and the company of loved ones.
